At BMW of Monterey, we proudly maintain a large and diverse selection of luxury SUVs for our valued clients to compare. Looking at the BMW X5 is always an exceptional starting point because it is a midsize model with great charm and features. The X3 is a compact luxury crossover below the X5 in the 2020 lineup, while the full-size X7 is on the other end of the spectrum. Which of our luxury crossover models should you select?

For 2020, the BMW X3, X5, and X7 are offered in several exciting trim options. Performance abilities and mechanical features vary across their trim lines. The 2020 X3 receives 248 horsepower at the base level from a TwinPower Turbo I-4, 2.0-liter engine. The base engine in the X5 and the X7 is comparable. This is a TwinPower Turbo I-6, 3.0-liter engine that puts off 335 horsepower.

These lovely models share some styling elements. For example, they all have an upright, confident cabin, angled LED lights, and a two-piece grille with vertical bars. A body-colored element slightly separates the 2020 X3’s grille. The lower-front fascia and lower-body sides have a combination of muted metallic and charcoal molding, and this molding is thicker than on the other two models in question. The X5’s headlights are stretched and thinner, and its grille pieces are connected. The lower-front fascia has horizontal design elements, and the roof is topped by integrated rails. In comparison, the X7 has a larger grille with narrower headlights. The lower-front fascia is more dominant and has more horizontal bars through its design. Also, the 2020 X7 has raised roof rails and a front skid plate.

All three crossover SUV models for 2020 have Apple CarPlay, leather material, ConnectedDrive services, Bluetooth tech, a memory function for remote vehicle access, and more. The X5 adds Android Auto, Comfort Access, and a few additional features. If you choose to drive the X7, your BMW will have a wireless hotspot, a third row of seats, a four-zone climate control system, a power liftgate, and more.
